Yes you read it right! SuperNexus is here. Finally! For regular flash-o-holiks like me, this rom needs no introduction. But for those of you who are new to all this, Supernexus is a unique project which is determined to provide you with "THE STOCK NEXUS EXPERIENCE". No fancy mods, no "in your face" animations, no multi-window, no overclock, NO CUSTOMIZATIONS. Period. This will indeed turn your Galaxy S2 into a Nexus 5!
If you absolutely love vanilla android and flash aosp-aokp roms for the sole reason of having a nexus experience, then I guess those fancy customization options would be annoying! Right? This rom aims so solve exactly that problem. Secondly if stability is a must for you to make the switch to any custom rom, then this is absolutely the rom for you. SuperNexus roms have always been famous for their stability. Its quite understandable as the rom contains no mods slash customization options at all.
Coming to the rom itself now, its based on Android 4.4.2 (KOT49H). All the usual connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G are fully functional. Camera is working BUT VIDEO RECORDER ISN'T, IT JUST FREEZES. If you're a titanium backup user, then I'm happy to report TB will work but avoid restoring app and/or system data as far as possible. Apart from that the rom has ZERO bloat. Indeed a pure nexus experience!
Now coming to the downsides, lack of mods can't be one of them as this is just not the rom if you're in for a feature frenzy! But a lot of us have an equation in our minds, CM = Stock. So if that's the case with you, you'll really notice the missing DSP manager and CM file manager. I do realize this is the first build but for some reason HSPA+ isn't working in this rom and neither is the stock music player the rom comes with. I did experience a couple of freezes here and there & also a random reboot in less than 24 hours. And battery life is terrible to say the least. Lastly, if you're expecting OTA updates saying nexus phones do support it, you'll be disappointed to know that this rom doesn't support it. So you'll have to do the usual drill for updating in case you decide to stick with this rom.
Like I mentioned before, this is the first build that I have reviewed and subsequent updates will definitely iron out the bugs and improve both stability & battery life.

**If you have the TWRP Recovery (Team Win Recovery Project), Watch This Video to learn how to install SuperNexus Rom using this particular recovery.**
For CWM,
Boot into recovery & make sure you have CWM based recovery v6.0.4.3 & above. In case you don't have the correct recovery, don't worry. Watch my video on how to update the recovery. Now once you have the correct recovery, you're good to go. Follow the steps given below.
wipe data/ factory reset
wipe cache
advanced > wipe dalvik cache
mounts & storage > format /system
install zip > choose zip > flash Supernexus Rom File
choose zip > Flash Gapps
Go back and hit "Reboot System Now".
